El Bistro

Beach party. Somewhere???

Clearly having already had a good night, I am informed the El Bistro lads had done a great set in Newcastle before turning up at the windswept beach where the Ska monkey had pitched tent.

This all added to the feeling of 'play fast before the poliss arrive' and sure enough, a breakneck set by the dapper 17yr olds went down well with the fairly mortal crowd, those that could stand up did, and the smell of Carlsberg and bonfire added to the atmosphere of abandon!

The strong songs of the band still managed to break through the sand filled speakers and everyone saw the sun rise to el bistros encore!!

El Bistro.. Morpeth fair day

Stripped to the bone ,with the sun blasting down, El Bistro played a set of power punk in the kaiser/razorlight/britpop mode that belies their youth.

I hope they had the factor 35 on as they blew out the cobwebs from another night on the town ,they drew the fairly non committal crowd towards them, and managed to show them what you should be doing in your teens! This should be compulsory at school, give them all a guitar and a set of drums, there would be no asbos needed!!
