Sadie Hawkins dance

Morpeth fair Rock Stage

Back in about 1972, Marc Bolan rose from the stage of top of the pops, strapped to glitter covered star, and ever since then, this has been the meaning of glam for me. But no longer, that has been well and truly superceded by the sight of a true glam goddess stalking the back of a forty foot wagon on a blistering hot summers day.

Crystal Grenade, as she likes to be known, was truly explosive, and certainly a few fireworks were set off in the pants of the 40 or so teenage youths who were transfixed the moment 'Sadie Hawkins Dance' hit the stage with crystal at the helm.

Outdoor mosh pits at country town fairs are not the norm, but this band throws aside convention, and dragged the audience along with them into their own version of punk/glam mayhem.

Aside from the amazing front personage of Crystal, the band steam along with an awesome drive of twin guitar and bass, and the powerhouse drumming of a doctor who lookyliky carries this Banshees/Roxy outfit to real highs...these will be back as soon as we can get them
