THE SYMPTOMS

The Symptoms turned up at the Egypt Cottage after being asked to play only the day before. I have seen them before but about 2 years ago at a beach party with no lights, so I guess I meant to say ‘I have heard them play live before’. They played a catchy set at the beach and it stuck in my mind for quite a few months before hearing them again. You can hear them play on this page so I don’t need to start describing what they sound like and I don’t need to mention the Slits or Crass and I definitely don’t need to say anything about X-Ray Spex without the sax, so I wont.

They got up and done their thing just as it said on the tin, with the use of backing disc. The Symptoms are a 2 piece outfit but rumour has it they are about to become a 4 piece and sling the backing disc. Although they put on a good show now, they will be something not to be missed at any cost with the backing they have lined up, so look out for them.
