The 45s

Morpeth fair day. Rock Stage

With a sneering staccato delivery reminiscent of the great Mark.E.Smith, its no surprise that this is a northern band, but Blyth is a bit further north and takes its pop a bit more seriously than even the fall, and this is reflected in the political standing of the 45s,with searing blasts at many targets.

This is well balanced though by the more light hearted moments('checkout girl' being a memorable one) and a faint memory of those late 70s mod revivalists such as the chords and Lambrettas spring to mind, the 45s have some real chart friendly nuggets in their set, and today looked like real contenders.
